![]() ![]() ![]() Zip files don't preserve which files are executable in linux, so you need to make the darkplaces program you want to run executable (eg "chmod 755 darkplaces-linux-x86_64-sdl" in a terminal). Linux is case sensitive, so you may need to rename a "ID1" directory to "id1" if it's currently uppercase, otherwise darkplaces gives you an error that it can't find any game data.Ģ. Special instructions for installing under Linux: Since these are multipart zip files, you'll need an unzipping program like 7-zip (freeware, Mac/Win/Linux) or similar to unzip. I've included executables for Windows, Linux and Mac in these packs, so you should be able to run it on any of those (I've only tested in Windows- no guarantees for others). The problem comes when you have to browse the quakeone forums, stumbling to find the posts which detail what cvars and what configs/files you have to overwrite etc in order to get each mod to work.
